In our Trends in Plant Science review; ‘Out of Shape During Stress: A Key Role for Auxin’, Ruud Korver, Iko Koevoets and Christa Testerink review what we know about the establishment of local auxin maxima that shape the root system during stress.
And in our new Plant Physiology paper ‘Diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 contributes to freezing tolerance’, Steven Arisz and colleagues show how DGAT1, first found as a QTL in Boechera stricta, supports remodelling of chloroplast membranes and confers freezing tolerance to plants.
