During the last half year, we welcomed four new colleagues. Damian Boer is joining our lab as a PhD student. He will study salt tolerance in potato plants and investigate the root system of potato grown from seeds. Rumyana Karlova, our new post-doc, is investigating salt responses in tomato. She will be using bio stimulants to improve stress tolerance. Tom van der Meer is the second post-doc joining our lab. Tom is joining the ERC-team working on sodium sensing. He is interested in ROS production during salt stress. Thijs de Zeeuw is joining the lab as technician. As an experienced cell and molecular biologist, he will contribute to different projects within the Roots in Salt lab.
