Plant Stress Resilience, think global, act local

We are happy to announce that Christa got her Vici project “Plant Stress Resilience, think global, act local” granted by NWO. In general, plant growth above- and below ground is reduced during salt stress, but locally salt-induced signals can in fact induce root branching, and change the timing of flowering. In this new project, we aim to discover how global regulation of development can be adapted locally under stress. We will investigate how local growth adaptations contribute to plant stress resilience.
